TOUR JEANNE D'ARC The tour Jeanne d'Arc is the dungeon of the château built by Philippe Auguste after his conquest of Normandy in 1204. Joan of Arc was imprisoned there on 9th May 1431 and where her faith was sorely tested. The tower was restored during the 19th century by the architect Demarest and capped by a finial, work of the celebrated Ferdinand Marrou.
