Designated accommodation must answer to strict criteria concerning environmental protection and show awareness of sustainable tourism which includes :

 

Energy saving using renewable energies (wood, sun..)
Efficient water use,
Selective sorting and management of the waste,
Harmony with setting & use of local materials.

 

 

Les Ecogites are types of accommodation which are both ecologic and economical for those who stay with minimal heating costs.
