Fécamp, a seaside and water sport resort
"Town of Art and History", "Water Sports resort", a true marine
atmosphere pervades the town of Fécamp and its cliffs, which used to be
the capital town of Newfoundland fishermen.
This little fishing port,
built up against the cliff, gives windsurfers, yachts people and
experienced sailors the thrills, and piques visitors' curiosity with its
Palais Bénédictine. This Renaissance Revival palace, inspired by
Romanticism, was home to the famous Benedictine liqueur, made with 27
plants from a recipe forgotten in an old book of magic that was brought
back to life thanks to Alexander the Great. The distillery has now been
turned into a museum with a contemporary art gallery.
