Super holiday!

We had a lovely two weeks here staying in Remy and Sylvie's gite. The gite had everything we needed and is more than big enough to accomodate four adults in comfort. It is situated high above a bend on ...the River Seine with a stunning view across to Rouen. We enjoyed sitting on the terrace watching the little ferry crossing below and larger boats coming and going. The location was ideal. There is a super bakery a short walk away and a supermarket a two minute drive away. Rouen, which is beautiful, was done by a 20 minute drive and then bus in to the centre. A two hour drive gets you to Bayeux, the Normandy beaches or the Somme. So, plenty to visit. Remy and Sylvie couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. We hope to visit again soon! Read more

Nous avions cherché un gîte pour pouvoir nous rendre à Rouen, pour l'Armada. Et nous avons été conquis par celui-ci : très bien placé avec une vue magnifique sur la Seine , proche de Rouen, situé au calme, ...avec une terrasse permettant de bénéficier du calme et de la vue ; et les propriétaires sont très gentils, disponibles et toujours prêts à nous donner de bonnes adresses dans les environs. Un sans faute !

Un séjour parfait… un accueil chaleureux par les charmants propriétaires… un lieu magnétique avec une vue époustouflante sur les meandres de la Seine (prendre un verre sur la terrasse en contemplant le ...spectacle est un grand moment à ne surtout pas rater !)… Le site est très calme et idéalement placé… Le gîte est plein de charme (petit logis briques et silex typique normand) et d’un grand confort : j’ai beau chercher je ne vois pas ce qu’il pourrait manquer ! Cuisine très bien équipée ; excellente literie ; sanitaires d’une propreté irréprochable (tout comme l’ensemble du gîte) ; possibilité de se faire une petite flambée (2 poêles dans le gîte) ; … etc. Pour résumer : un sans faute pour ce lieu charmant aussi bien pour le gîte que pour ses propriétaires ! Extraordinaire panorama sur un méandre de la Seine

Maisonnette ancienne et pleine de charme, confortable, avec jardin et terrasse magnifique qui domine la Seine. Vous pouvez suivre l'aller-retour du petit bac, observer le trafic fluvial dans un calme ...absolu. On est à deux pas des commerces ou de Rouen, grâce à votre véhicule, qui dispose d'un parking dans un terrain clos. Pour les plus courageux une petite route descend jusqu'au charmant village qui borde la Seine. C'est pratique et surtout magique pour qui aime les fleuves. Attention toutefois si vous voulez rapporter les croissants le matin, la côte monte sur quelques centaines de mètres avec un dénivelé d'environ 15%... En une heure vous êtes à Giverny, ou Honfleur grâce à l'autoroute toute proche mais invisible et inaudible. Des vélos sont à disposition et permettent de belles balades sur le chemin de halage, rive droite, accessible aisément par le bac. Lovely located property with characterful old house with comfortable beds. Very nice, helpful owners, we are thankful for the help with our dog. Peaceful Gite with a view

A quiet and peaceful location with a lovely river view. The property is characterful and comfortable, though stairs may be a little difficult for some. We found it well equipped for our needs. The owners ...are very helpful and welcoming, keen to make sure you make the most of your stay which is most appreciated. The village of La Bouille is very pretty and has a lovely location next to the river, with a regular car ferry to the opposite side. There are a number of good restaurants, cafes and boulangerie, though may have varied opening times. We loved our time exploring this part of Normandy from Abbeys, gardens, beautiful villages, UNESCO coastal towns and Forest walks, a real pleasure. :-) Read more
